A brief hiatus from humility. Still runs through the same vein, at least the same vein of my heart. One thing I've learned from being involved in justice ministry the past two years, is just that, you must be involved. When you really understand it - you can't half heartedly care. You can't flicker in and out of people's lives. I don't think this means you should be overly involved, there is so much out there, sex trafficking, poverty, politics, environment, homelessness, education, the list goes on. You can't possibly pour your heart into each of these.

You should advocate for them all. Your heart should feel care and concern, as a Christian, we do have duty to social issues. If you feel yourself moved to one cause, move. Seek out ways in which you can bring God's just character to dark places that have no light. Use your talents and creativity to bring change. If this still means working weekly at a soup kitchen, devoting yourself to pray and serve steadfastly, than by all means, do so.

The video is saying that justice and injustice can eerily sound similar. We are sometimes taught in churches to stay in the church, that it is better to live life safely, so we don't look bad or don't get involved in deep, sometimes extremely painful situations. Believe me, whether you shelter yourself, or you put yourself out there, you will be hurt either way. Justice doesn't look the same for everyone, but it does look like something. Challenge yourself to live for something. Hopefully, we are already living for Christ. And, you've probably already thought about what that looks like.

Think again. Reevalute why you do things and why you don't do others. Be thoughtful. Why aren't you more involved with the world around you? Too busy? Afraid? Not sure of where you're called? Ask! Ask God. I promise He will not be silent.

I'm sorry. I probably harp on this subject too much, and come off with a strong opinion. This is a hard thing to learn, and it will take time. Baby steps in justice.

This is my life. This is the direction I'm headed for the rest of my life. What living a life of justice looks like will change over time, I am sure, justice will always be my direction and my calling, always where God leads me. Loving others, doing everything it takes to bring them the flesh of Christ.

As the video says, this is freedom. Freedom is living for God. Freedom is letting Him lead your life. Freedom is truth, the Gospel, justice.
